Chery to open a UK engineering centre at Millbrook
The Bedfordshire site will tune chassis and driver-assistance systems for British roads, and Chery’s warranty moves to seven years or 100,000 miles.
Chery plans a UK research and development centre at the UTAC Millbrook proving ground in Bedfordshire, due to open later in 2026. It will focus on chassis dynamics and the tuning of driver-assistance systems — two areas where UK testers have criticised Chinese cars.
Chery is also extending its warranty to seven years or 100,000 miles, with RAC roadside support.
