BYD’s 20,129 registrations gave it 5.76% of the UK market in September. Its best seller was the Seal U DM-i plug-in hybrid; the Sealion 7 was its most popular electric car, and the Atto 2 came second in its line-up after gaining a DM-i plug-in version in June.

The brand now has 147 UK retail sites, and its newest models — the Dolphin G DM-i supermini and the seven-seat Ti 7 — are just reaching showrooms.
